This Earth by Joanna M. Weston

THIS EARTH

an orange cool in my hand
its scent acrid as smoke
from burned forests
its dimples deep
as lakes and fjords

the flesh pulses
with sudden sunrise
and veins of snow

this body of earth
turning under the sun
